Common questions.

How do I get the best form check?
  • Prop your phone at about hip height, 2 to 3 meters away, so your whole body is in frame from head to feet.
  • Film from the side for squats. For bench press and lat pulldown, follow the framing guide on screen.
  • Use good lighting and avoid baggy clothes that hide your knees and hips.
  • Keep the phone still for the whole set.
Which exercises does Arcform check?

Air squat, sandbag squat, bench press, push up, dip, ring dip, lat pulldown, pull up and kettlebell deadlift in this version, and Arcform works out which one you're doing from how you move. More lifts are on the way.

My score or rep count looks wrong

Open the recording, check that your whole body was in frame, and try again with the tips above. If it still looks off, send us the clip through TestFlight feedback or email, and tell us the real rep count. Those clips help us improve the most.

Where did my recordings go?

Recordings are backed up to your account. After you sign in on a new phone or reinstall, your list comes back first and the videos download in the background, so give it a minute on a good connection.

How do I add friends?

Go to Crew, then Friends. Share your 6 character recruit code, or type in a friend's code and tap Add. You can remove friends anytime from the menu next to their name.

What can my friends see?

Your name, your fighter (level, class and look) and your arcade scores for the week always show. Workouts and Form Rating are shared until you turn them off, and volume change stays hidden until you turn it on, in Crew › Friends › What friends see. In a raid or duel you join, your crew also sees the sets you film for it. Friends never see your videos, notes, pain answers or body measurements.

What does the AI coach send to OpenAI?

When you ask the coach, open a coach note between sets or get your weekly check in, Arcform sends a short text summary to OpenAI: your goal, experience, activity level, equipment and training days, your plan, your last five form reports and a summary for each lift, recent sets (weight, reps, RPE), pain reports from the last 14 days (where and how much only), safety flags, last week's check in and your message. Finishing a workout also sends that workout and the sets you logged (weight, reps, RPE) for your note before the next session, and asking the coach for a goal with friends sends their names. Never your videos, photos, pose data, name, email, age, sex, height, body weight or notes. Weight increases come from Arcform's own rules; when the coach works out a weight from your numbers, Arcform checks it against what you've lifted, and every reply is checked for safety. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

What happens to my voice clips?

Logging a set by voice or talking to the coach records a short clip only while the mic is on. It goes to OpenAI to be turned into text and is never stored by Arcform. Spoken answers are made by OpenAI from the coach's reply text and streamed to you, never stored (turn them off with the speaker button in the coach). Arcform's own spoken lines, like rep counts and the rest timer, are voiced the same way from their text, and their audio is kept on our server and your phone so they play faster, with nothing linking them to you. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

The coach says it's offline

With no connection, or when the coach has hit its daily limit, Arcform shows its own quick version of the advice instead. Everything else keeps working; the coach comes back on its own.

I felt pain during a set

Stop the set and tap the pain button. Arcform will lighten your next session and pause form checks if pain keeps coming back. Arcform isn't medical advice; if you're hurt, please see a medical professional.

How do I delete a recording or my account?

Delete a recording from your recordings library; it's removed from your phone and our servers. To delete your account and all your data, open Profile in the app and tap Delete account. It removes everything right away, including your coach check ins and Crew Quest progress, on your phone and on our servers. If you can't sign in, email support@arcform.fit from the address you signed up with and we'll do it within 30 days.
